Why this training?

It will not come as a surprise to you, that none of us are working in a vacuum. We (yes, you too!) are surrounded by individuals, each with their own needs, objectives, and motivations. Individual personalities contribute to workplace culture. However, there needs to be balance. Everyone must feel comfortable sharing opinions and ideas, and everyone must also be willing to receive and process ideas and contributions from others. To really connect with others, one needs to be aware of their personal focus, what their anticipated result is.

The basis of such synergy stems from effective interpersonal communication practices.

What challenges do you face?

Poor communication is the number 1 cause of stress in the workplace. And where there is stress, there is a lack of engagement, creativity and results. Purposeful, constructive, communicative bridges must be built, so that goals can be met and business strategies can progress and evolve.

Communication is much more than the words which are exchanged: each of us has different behavior styles, filters and judgments which influence the effectiveness of our communication.

We all experience pressure in this fast-paced world: the immense amount of stimuli we receive during the day; our family life; the working hours; the phase of your life in which you find yourself; the demands an employer makes on you, as well as the rapid technological development of the younger generations. All require a deep capacity in us, to be able to keep up. This demands personal and natural coping strategies which are simple and easy to apply.

Conflict, change, and stress are a regular part of everyday organizational life. The key to employees thriving, is resilience: the ability to bounce back after adversity and to grow. Being resilient doesn’t prevent tough challenges from happening, but it does provide individuals with the strength and wherewithal to recover and move on, time and time again.

Developing resilience is a lot like engineering a building to withstand an earthquake. It requires a solid foundation and a flexible structure that won’t crack or crumble under pressure. In human terms, this translates into self-esteem, connection with others, mental and emotional agility, as well as effective coping strategies.

What will this training bring you?

In this one-day interactive training, you will be revealing to yourself, in your own process, the layers of your innermost self: your strengths, your values, your energy drainers and gainers, and stress signals, among other aspects, in order to arrive at your personal communication strategy. The ultimate goal is to ensure you have the emotional agility to create meaningful communication with others and with yourself. Possessing this skill is fundamental to being resilient in facing (future) challenges.

We share content from different perspectives: behavioral styles based on DISC, practical tips from Compassionate Communication, Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Psychology and deep knowledge of the human stress response. Together, they create the right blend for connecting communicatively with ourselves and with others.
